Punahou Buffanblu Names New Strength and Conditioning Coordinator
Punahou School, a perennial powerhouse in Hawaii high school football, has hired experienced coach Ryan Kekahuna as its new strength and conditioning coordinator. The Buffanblu, a Division I Open program, finished 2023 with a 9-2 record and a state championship appearance. Kekahuna's addition is expected to bolster the team's physical development and prepare players for the demanding schedule ahead. With a strong recruiting class on the horizon, the Buffanblu look to maintain their status as a top contender in the HHSAA. Kekahuna's background in strength and conditioning will be instrumental in helping the team build on last season's success and push for another state title. The hiring comes as the team prepares for its annual summer camp in August, where coaches will begin to shape the roster for the upcoming season.
