Hunter Thompson Commits to Baylor
Kahuku Red Raiders tight end Hunter Thompson has committed to Baylor University. The Class of 2027 standout will join the Bears' program as a tight end. Thompson chose Baylor for its pro-style offense, which aligns with his skills as a blocker and pass catcher. He also cited the opportunity to contribute immediately as a freshman, given the team's depth chart. Academically, Thompson is drawn to Baylor's strong engineering program, which he plans to pursue. This marks a new commitment for Thompson, as he had previously committed to another program but reopened his recruitment. Baylor's coaching staff has a history of developing tight ends, which was a key factor in Thompson's decision. The 6-foot-4, 225-pound Thompson is considered one of the top tight ends in the Class of 2027. He will report to Baylor's summer camp in August.
