Punahou's Jordan Johnson Commits to TCU
Jordan Johnson, a 2025 kicker from Punahou, has committed to play for the TCU Horned Frogs. Johnson, a standout in the HHSAA, chose TCU for its strong kicking game under head coach Sonny Cumbie, who has a history of developing talented kickers. The Horned Frogs' scheme, which emphasizes a strong kicking game, aligns with Johnson's skills and playing style. Johnson also cited the academic program at TCU, which offers a top-ranked business school, as a major factor in his decision. Johnson had previously committed to the University of Hawaii but decommitted in May to re-examine his options. TCU's depth chart at kicker is currently wide open, providing Johnson with an opportunity to compete for a starting spot immediately. Johnson's commitment adds to the growing list of HHSAA standouts joining the Horned Frogs' program.
