Elijah Wilson Commits to Navy
West Des Moines Valley senior defensive end Elijah Wilson has committed to the United States Naval Academy. Wilson, a four-star prospect and Class of 2025 standout, chose Navy due to the program's emphasis on defensive line production and his ability to contribute immediately. The Tigers' 4-3 scheme aligns with Navy's defensive philosophy, and Wilson projects to start at defensive end. The Midshipmen's strong academic reputation and opportunities for scholarship and career advancement also played a significant role in his decision. Wilson had previously committed to the University of Iowa in 2023 but decommitted after a coaching change. He is the 12th player from the Class of 2025 to commit to Navy's 2025 recruiting class.
