Cedar Falls Tigers' Multisport Athlete Eyes College Flag Football Opportunities
As the inaugural 2028 season of NCAA Division 1 flag football approaches, the University of Nebraska, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, is poised to attract top talent. Cedar Falls Tigers' multisport athlete, Emily Wilson, is among those considering a pivot to flag football for college opportunities. With a strong athletic background in track and field, Wilson is now focusing on developing her skills in flag football. Ottawa University, Kansas, a national powerhouse with up to 12 scholarships, is also on her radar. Additionally, Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska, are actively recruiting flag football players. Wilson is encouraged to create highlight tapes showcasing her skills and contact coaches at these schools to discuss potential scholarship opportunities.
