As the 2026-27 school year approaches, Meridian's top flag football prospects are turning their attention to the University of Nebraska's inaugural 2028 season. Coaches Liz and Katie Sowers are building a Power 4 program that will offer NCAA D1 scholarships. For Rocky Mountain Grizzlies athletes, this means a new pathway to higher education and competitive football. Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida, also offer NAIA flag football scholarships. Midland University, Nebraska, is an active recruiter in the region. UT Arlington is developing its program but has not yet announced scholarship offerings. For Grizzlies players seeking to capitalize on these opportunities, summer camps and recruiting events are crucial. Coaches Sowers will host a series of camps in the coming months, providing a chance for top prospects to showcase their skills.
