Grizzlies' Harris Seeks Redemption After ACL Injury
Rocky Mountain's Cameron Harris, a 5A senior safety, finished last season with 85 tackles and 3 interceptions, including a 32-yard pick-six against 4A foe, Lincoln High. The standout athlete overcame a season-ending ACL injury in the playoffs to earn a starting role heading into the 2026 campaign. Harris spent the offseason rehabilitating his knee and honing his skills in the weight room, where he added 15 pounds of muscle. His hard work paid off during the team's summer camp, where he consistently made plays on the ball and showed improved coverage skills. Harris' recovery and dedication have caught the attention of college scouts, who are now watching to see how he adapts to game speed and competition. Specifically, they're looking to see how he handles the physicality of the 5A division and if he can maintain his level of play throughout a full season without injury.
