FridayNightPulse: WR Drill for 4A Dominance

๐Ÿ“ Twin Falls BruinsยทSaturday, July 25, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

At Twin Falls Bruins, wide receivers are gearing up for a strong 4A season with a focus on speed and agility. One key drill to incorporate into your summer camp is the 'L-Cone Weave.' Set up three cones in an L-shape, with the wide receiver starting at the top of the 'L.' On the coach's signal, the receiver weaves through the cones, focusing on quick footwork and sharp cuts. Perform 3 sets of 10 reps, resting for 30 seconds between sets. Coaching cues include 'inside foot first' and 'keep your eyes up.' This drill translates to game performance by improving a receiver's ability to quickly change direction and create separation from defenders. It also enhances their ability to read coverage and make sharp cuts on the fly.
