Rigby Trojans Girls Flag Football Players Eye Scholarship Opportunities Amid IHSA Pilot Expansion
The IHSA's pilot district expansion of girls flag football in Texas has created new scholarship pathways for Rigby Trojans players and other Texas athletes. As the inaugural 2028 season approaches, the University of Nebraska's Power 4 program under coaches Liz and Katie Sowers is a top destination for talented flag football players. Nebraska offers up to 12 scholarships per year. Ottawa University, Kansas, a national powerhouse, also offers up to 12 scholarships. Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska, are actively recruiting flag football players. UT Arlington, in development, is expected to offer scholarships in the near future.
