St. Rita's Bryce Davis: A Force to Be Reckoned With
In his first season with the St. Rita Mustangs, Class of 2026 running back Bryce Davis has wasted no time making his presence known. The transfer from out-of-state has already earned a starting role in the 7A powerhouse's backfield, where he's averaged 7.2 yards per carry through the Mustangs' summer camp. Davis's impressive speed and agility have allowed him to leave defenders grasping at air, as he's already notched several long runs in practice. At 5-foot-11, 190 pounds, Davis's size and strength also make him a formidable force in the trenches, where he's shown a knack for breaking tackles and gaining extra yards after contact. As the Mustangs prepare for the upcoming season, scouts will be keeping a close eye on Davis's ability to maintain this level of production and adapt to the IHSA's 11-man format. Specifically, they'll be watching to see if he can continue to find holes in the defense and make plays in space, where his speed and elusiveness are at their most effective.
