Jayden Thompson Commits to Air Force
East St. Louis Flyers tight end Jayden Thompson has committed to Air Force Academy for the Class of 2027. The 6-foot-4, 225-pounder chose the Falcons due to their emphasis on the triple-option offense, a scheme that aligns with his skills as a versatile blocking and receiving tight end. Thompson also cited the opportunity to contribute immediately as a freshman, given the Falcons' need for depth at the position. Additionally, he praised the Academy's strong academic program, which will allow him to pursue a degree in engineering while competing at the Division I level. This marks Thompson's first commitment after previously considering offers from several other service academies. He is expected to report to Air Force's summer camp in July to begin his collegiate journey.
