Austin Robinson Commits to UTSA Roadrunners
St. Rita Mustangs safety Austin Robinson, a Class of 2027 standout, has committed to the University of Texas at San Antonio Roadrunners. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound defensive back chose UTSA over other Division I offers. Robinson's commitment is a significant addition to the Roadrunners' secondary, which will benefit from his versatility and athleticism. He projects as a strong safety in UTSA's 3-4 defensive scheme, where he can utilize his range and tackling ability. With the Roadrunners' current depth chart, Robinson is expected to compete for playing time immediately. UTSA's strong academic programs and research opportunities also align with Robinson's academic goals. The Mustangs' safety will officially join the Roadrunners in the summer of 2027, as part of the Class of 2027 recruiting class. This commitment marks a significant milestone in Robinson's recruitment process, which included a decommitment from another program earlier this spring.
