Penn State Extends Offer to St. Rita DE Hunter Young
Penn State has extended a scholarship offer to Hunter Young, a 6-foot-4, 240-pound defensive end from St. Rita High School in Chicago. Young, a Class of 2025 prospect, has already seen interest from other top programs, including Ohio State and Michigan. In his junior season, Young recorded 64 tackles, 12 sacks and 3 forced fumbles, earning him All-State honors. He also participated in the IHSA's Big 23 Combine, where he showcased his speed and agility with a 4.7-second 40-yard dash time. Young's offer from Penn State marks a significant development in his recruitment, which is expected to heat up in the coming months. As a rising senior, Young will participate in multiple camps and combines, including the NCSA Athletic Recruiting Combine and the Rivals100 Camp. He plans to announce his college decision in December, with a final list of top contenders expected to be narrowed down in the fall.
