Flag Football Prospect Draws Interest from Nebraska, NAIA Programs
Loyola Academy Ramblers' standout flag football player, junior Emily Wilson, has caught the attention of several colleges with verified scholarship programs. The 8A Wilmette-based team's star athlete has received interest from the University of Nebraska's inaugural 2028 season program, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers. Additionally, Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida, have also shown interest in Wilson's skills. Midland University, Nebraska, has also reached out to the Ramblers' coaching staff. While UT Arlington's program is still in development, they have not yet begun offering scholarships. For athletes like Wilson, this summer is an opportunity to hone their skills at camps and showcase their abilities to college scouts. Wilson and her teammates will participate in a series of summer camps, including the upcoming Nebraska Flag Football Camp, to gain exposure and potentially secure a scholarship.
