Mount Carmel Caravan Breaks Ground on $1M Facility Upgrade Ahead of Season
Mount Carmel High School's athletic department has officially broken ground on a $1 million facility upgrade, a move expected to significantly bolster the Caravan's football program ahead of the upcoming season. The 8A powerhouse, which finished last year's campaign with a 9-3 record, will benefit from the new facilities, which will include state-of-the-art locker rooms, a renovated weight room and expanded training areas. The upgrade is expected to attract top recruits to the program, which has been a consistent competitor in the Chicago Catholic League. With the new facilities, the Caravan aims to take their football program to the next level, competing with the best teams in the state and potentially making a deep run in the IHSA playoffs.
