St. Rita Names New Defensive Coordinator

St. Rita High School in Chicago has elevated assistant coach Mike Thompson to defensive coordinator after four seasons developing talent in the Mustangs' secondary. The move comes as the program looks to build on a 6-4 record in Class 7A last season. Thompson's experience in recruiting and game planning is expected to pay dividends as the Mustangs vie for a spot in the IHSA playoffs.
