Caleb Smith Commits to Air Force
Mount Carmel Caravan safety Caleb Smith has committed to play for the Air Force Falcons, the school announced Thursday. The Class of 2025 standout chose Air Force over other Division I offers, citing the program's defensive scheme as a key factor in his decision. Smith believes his skills will be a good fit for the Falcons' 4-3 defense, where he can utilize his ball-hawking abilities. The 6-foot-1, 185-pounder also considered the academic programs at Air Force and other service academies, ultimately deciding that the Falcons offered the best combination of athletics and academics. Smith had previously decommitted from Indiana State, but after re-evaluating his options, he chose to commit to Air Force. The Caravan's secondary is expected to be a strength this season, and Smith's commitment will help bolster the unit.
