St. Rita Mustangs Break Ground on $2M Facility Upgrade

The St. Rita Mustangs football program in Chicago broke ground on a $2 million facility upgrade Friday, a move expected to bolster the team's recruiting efforts and competitiveness in the Illinois 7A classification. The Mustangs finished last season with a 7-4 record, their third consecutive winning season. The upgrade includes new locker rooms, weight rooms and training facilities. According to program officials, the improvements will allow the team to attract top talent from the Chicago area and beyond. The Mustangs have a reputation for producing Division I talent and are expected to be a contender in the Catholic League this fall. The facility upgrade is set to be completed in time for the start of the 2026 season.
