Carson Allen Commits to Army Football
Cathedral Fighting Irish cornerback Carson Allen, a Class of 2025 standout, has committed to Army football. The 5-foot-11, 170-pound prospect cited Army's 3-4 defensive scheme as a key factor in his decision, noting that it aligns with his aggressive playing style. Allen also expressed excitement about the opportunity to contribute immediately, as Army's cornerback depth chart is expected to be revamped this season. Additionally, he praised the academy's academic program, which will provide him with a strong foundation for future success. Allen had previously committed to Indiana University but decommitted in April, opting to explore other options. He is expected to report to West Point in June 2027, pending a medical evaluation. As a sophomore, Allen recorded 35 tackles, 15 passes defensed and two interceptions for Cathedral.
