Warrior Speed: A 6A S-Player Drill for Warren Central

๐Ÿ“ Warren Central WarriorsยทSunday, July 26, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

This summer, Warren Central's S-players can expect to see a significant increase in speed and agility thanks to a new drill implemented by the coaching staff. The 'Warrior Weave' drill is designed to improve a player's ability to change direction quickly and explosively, a crucial skill for any 6A S-player. The drill consists of 3 sets of 10 reps, with 30 seconds of rest in between sets. Players will start at the 5-yard line, then weave through 3 cones set up in a zig-zag pattern, before accelerating to the 10-yard line. Coaching cues include 'quick feet' and 'stay low.' This drill translates to game performance by allowing S-players to quickly close gaps and make tackles in space.
