LSU Lands Commitment from Trevon Young, Top Safety in Class of 2027
The LSU Tigers have secured a commitment from Trevon Young, a standout safety from Carmel High School's 6A program. Young, a Class of 2027 prospect, stands 6-foot-1 and weighs 190 pounds, boasting a 4.5-second 40-yard dash time. He recorded 75 tackles, 10 pass breakups and 2 interceptions as a sophomore. Young has also received offers from Notre Dame, Ohio State and Penn State. The Carmel Greyhounds' top defender has been a key contributor to the team's success, earning All-State honors in 2025. Young's commitment marks a significant addition to LSU's 2027 recruiting class, which is expected to be one of the nation's top-ranked groups. With his commitment, Young has narrowed his focus to signing with LSU on National Signing Day, December 27, 2026.
