Devon Wilson Commits to Iowa State

๐Ÿ“ Derby PanthersยทWednesday, July 1, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

Derby Panthers Class of 2027 offensive lineman Devon Wilson has committed to Iowa State University. The 6-foot-4, 275-pound lineman chose the Cyclones over offers from Kansas and Tulsa. Wilson's commitment fills a need for the Cyclones at left tackle, where he is expected to compete for a starting spot. Iowa State's pro-style offense, which features a strong emphasis on the run game, is a good fit for Wilson's skills. The school also offers a top-notch academic program, which was a key factor in Wilson's decision. Wilson had previously committed to Kansas State before decommitting in February. He is rated as a three-star prospect by 247Sports. Wilson's commitment is a significant addition to the Cyclones' 2024 recruiting class, which now ranks among the top 25 in the country.
