Derby Panthers' CB Carson Anderson Commits to Houston Cougars
Derby Panthers cornerback Carson Anderson has committed to the University of Houston Cougars for the Class of 2025. The 6-foot, 170-pound defensive back chose Houston over offers from several other programs. Anderson's decision to commit to the Cougars comes after a successful summer camp session with the team. He is expected to contribute to the Cougars' secondary immediately, with the opportunity to start at cornerback. Houston's athletic scheme, which emphasizes aggressive man-to-man coverage, aligns well with Anderson's skills. The Cougars also offer a strong academic program, which was a factor in Anderson's decision. Anderson had previously committed to the University of Kansas, but decommitted in May to explore other options. He is expected to enroll at Houston in the fall of 2025.
