As the inaugural 2028 season of college flag football approaches, multisport female athletes from the Lawrence Free State Firebirds are taking notice of the growing opportunities. One standout athlete, who has excelled in multiple sports, is now focusing on flag football as a potential pathway to college scholarships. The University of Nebraska, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, is a top destination for these athletes. Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida, also offer significant scholarship opportunities. Midland University, Nebraska, is actively recruiting flag football talent. To increase their chances, athletes should create highlight tapes showcasing their skills and reach out to these programs directly. UT Arlington, in development, is also a potential option for the future.
