USC Extends Offer to Top CB Prospect DeShawn Johnson

The University of Southern California has extended an offer to DeShawn Johnson, a 5-foot-11, 170-pound cornerback from Mill Valley High School, according to sources close to the program. Johnson, a Class of 2025 standout, recorded 25 tackles and 3 interceptions in his junior season, including a 95-yard pick-six against rival Lawrence High. The USC offer is the latest in a string of competitive offers held by Johnson, who has also received interest from Kansas, Kansas State and Missouri. Johnson's impressive performance at a recent camp in Lawrence earned him a spot on the All-Camp defensive back unit. With the offer from USC, Johnson's recruiting timeline is heating up, with a decision expected by the end of the summer.
