Mill Valley's Darius Taylor Commits to Houston Cougars

Darius Taylor, a 5A cornerback from Mill Valley High School, has committed to play for the University of Houston Cougars. The Class of 2027 standout chose Houston over other Power Five offers, citing the team's aggressive defensive scheme as a key factor in his decision. Taylor believes his skills will be a good fit for the Cougars' defense, which features a high level of competition and depth at cornerback. Additionally, Taylor was drawn to Houston's strong academic program, which he feels will provide him with the resources he needs to succeed in the classroom. Taylor had previously committed to another program but reopened his recruitment in April. He is expected to enroll at Houston in the summer of 2027 and participate in fall camp.
