Shamrocks' Young a Model of Balance
Carson Young, the 6-foot-3, 280-pound senior-to-be tackle, anchored Trinity's line with 44 pancake blocks last season, helping the Shamrocks finish 7-4 in the 6A classification. Off the field, Young has maintained a 4.0 grade-point average, earning him the title of valedictorian in his class. He's also been an active participant in the school's community service program, volunteering at local food banks and participating in fundraisers for cancer research. Young's academic prowess has caught the attention of college recruiters, who are impressed by his ability to balance book smarts with on-field production. As he enters his final season as a varsity starter, Young will look to build on his impressive junior campaign and lead the Shamrocks to a deeper playoff run. Scouts will be watching to see how Young adapts to new defensive schemes and whether he can maintain his academic excellence while shouldering more leadership responsibilities.
