Boosting Pass Rush: Boyle County Rebels' DE Drill

๐Ÿ“ Boyle County RebelsยทSaturday, July 11, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

This summer, Boyle County Rebels' defensive ends can take their pass rush to the next level with a drill that targets speed, agility, and technique. The 'Rip and Go' drill consists of 3 sets of 10 reps. Start with a 3-point stance, then rip the ball away from an imaginary quarterback (focus on arm extension and hand positioning). Immediately transition into a 5-yard sprint, focusing on explosive acceleration and proper footwork. After 10 reps, rest for 2 minutes and repeat. Coaching cues include: 'Rip the ball like you mean it!' and 'Get out of the hole!' This drill translates to game performance by improving DEs' ability to quickly change direction and generate pressure on the quarterback. By incorporating this drill into their pre-season training, Boyle County Rebels' DEs will be ready to take on the competition.
