Darius Walker Commits to Iowa State
St. Xavier Tigers Class of 2027 offensive lineman Darius Walker has committed to Iowa State University. Walker, a 6-foot-4, 290-pound lineman, chose the Cyclones over other Power Five offers. Iowa State's pro-style offense, which emphasizes a strong running game and physical line play, aligns with Walker's skillset. The Tigers' new coaching staff has also emphasized the importance of developing linemen, providing Walker with a clear path to contribute early. Additionally, Iowa State's academic programs in business and engineering will provide Walker with a strong foundation for his future career. Walker previously held offers from several other Power Five programs, including Kentucky and Louisville, before committing to Iowa State in May 2024. He is expected to enroll at Iowa State in the summer of 2027.
