St. Augustine Purple Knights Hire Strength Coach
St. Augustine High School in New Orleans has hired veteran strength and conditioning coach, Michael Johnson, to lead its offseason program ahead of August training camp. The Purple Knights, a 4A program, finished 7-4 last season and are looking to build on that momentum. Johnson's hiring is seen as a key move in the program's efforts to improve its strength and speed, which should benefit the team's recruiting efforts and competitiveness in the Louisiana High School Athletic Association's District 9-4A. Johnson brings 10 years of experience working with high school and college programs, including a stint at the University of New Orleans. His expertise is expected to help the Purple Knights develop a more formidable presence on the field this season.
