As the 2026-2027 academic year heats up, Catholic High Bears flag football prospects are keeping a close eye on the University of Nebraska's inaugural 2028 season. Coaches Liz and Katie Sowers have been actively recruiting top talent nationwide, with a focus on developing a strong program. For Bears players seeking NCAA Division 1 opportunities, Nebraska's Power 4 status and Big Ten affiliation make it an attractive destination. Meanwhile, Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida, offer NAIA scholarships, with Ottawa University boasting a national powerhouse reputation and up to 12 scholarships available. Midland University, Nebraska, is also an active recruiter, providing additional options for local athletes. UT Arlington, a developing NCAA Division 1 program, is not yet offering scholarships but remains a potential future option.
