Edna Karr Hires Strength Coach, Eyes 4A Title Run

Edna Karr, a 4A powerhouse from New Orleans, has bolstered its coaching staff with the hiring of strength and conditioning coordinator, Michael Thompson. The Cougars finished 2025 with a 10-2 record, falling short of a state championship. Thompson's expertise is expected to aid in the team's quest for a 4A title, as well as bolster its recruiting efforts. The program has been a consistent force in the LHSAA 4A division, and Thompson's addition is seen as a key factor in the team's bid to reclaim the top spot. With the start of August camp just around the corner, Thompson will work closely with head coach, Chris Tatum, to prepare the Cougars for a competitive 2026 season.
