As the LHSAA flag football pilot district expansion gains momentum, top recruits from the John Curtis Patriots are eyeing new scholarship pathways in the Lone Star State. With the University of Nebraska's inaugural 2028 season on the horizon, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, the Cornhuskers are poised to offer up to 12 scholarships. Additionally, Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida, have established NAIA flag football programs with scholarships available. Midland University, Nebraska, and UT Arlington are also actively recruiting. Patriots' standout athletes can take concrete steps by researching these programs, attending summer camps, and building relationships with coaches. By doing so, they can position themselves for potential scholarship opportunities.
