Junior Day Visits: What LB Prospects Need to Know

๐Ÿ“ Everett Crimson TideยทWednesday, July 1, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

When visiting top Division I programs like the Everett Crimson Tide for a junior day, linebackers need to be prepared to showcase their skills and impress coaches. Coaches look for players who can fill gaps and make tackles in space, so focus on demonstrating agility and quickness. During drills, aim to record 3-4 tackles for loss in a 30-minute period, with at least two coming from behind the line of scrimmage. Coaches also evaluate a player's ability to read the offense and react quickly to misdirection. To showcase this skill, practice recognizing and reacting to different play types, such as zone and man coverage. By being prepared and demonstrating these skills, linebackers can make a lasting impression on coaches and increase their chances of earning a scholarship offer.
