Xaverian Brothers Hawks Girls Flag Football Players Target Top Scholarship Programs Amid MIAA Expansion

๐Ÿ“ Xaverian Brothers HawksยทThursday, July 30, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

The MIAA's pilot district expansion for girls flag football is creating new scholarship pathways for Texas athletes. The Xaverian Brothers Hawks, a Division I team from Westwood, are among the top programs in the state. With the expansion, Hawks players now have access to more top-tier programs. The University of Nebraska, set to launch its inaugural 2028 season, is offering scholarships under the guidance of coaches Liz and Katie Sowers. Ottawa University, Kansas, a national powerhouse, offers up to 12 scholarships. Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska, are also active recruiters. UT Arlington, a developing program, is not yet offering scholarships. Hawks players interested in pursuing flag football scholarships should research these programs and reach out to coaches for more information.
