The MPSSAA flag football pilot district expansion is set to open doors for Texas girls flag football recruits, particularly those from the Wise Pumas. As the inaugural 2028 NCAA Division 1 season approaches, the University of Nebraska's Liz and Katie Sowers are actively recruiting top talent. The Cornhuskers' Power 4 program will offer scholarships to the best flag football players in the country. Meanwhile, Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida, are also expanding their NAIA flag football programs, offering up to 12 scholarships each. Midland University, Nebraska, and UT Arlington are also recruiting, although UT Arlington has not yet announced scholarship offerings. For Wise Pumas athletes looking to capitalize on these new opportunities, summer camps and combine events are crucial. The Pumas' coaching staff can provide guidance on the best camps to attend and how to get noticed by college coaches.
