Wise Pumas Flag Prospects Eye Ottawa University, Keiser University Camps
Upper Marlboro's Wise Pumas flag football team is gearing up for the inaugural 2028 season of NCAA Division 1 flag football, and local prospects are already eyeing scholarship opportunities. Coaches Liz and Katie Sowers at the University of Nebraska are building a powerhouse program, but the Big Ten school is not the only option for flag football talent. Ottawa University, Kansas, a national powerhouse with up to 12 NAIA scholarships, and Keiser University, Florida, an active recruiter, are offering local athletes a chance to showcase their skills. Prospects interested in visiting Ottawa University or Keiser University camps can contact the schools directly to inquire about summer registration. Midland University, Nebraska, and UT Arlington are also developing their programs, but scholarships have not yet been announced.
