Panther Pass Rush: A DE Drill for MIAA Dominance

๐Ÿ“ St. Frances Academy PanthersยทSaturday, July 25, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

St. Frances Academy Panthers defensive end coach, Mike Harris, has a secret to unlocking top-tier pass rush production. The 'Rapid Fire' drill is designed to increase speed, agility, and hand-eye coordination. DEs will perform 3 sets of 10 reps, with 30 seconds rest between sets. Each rep consists of a 5-yard sprint to the quarterback, followed by a 180-degree spin and a tackle attempt. Coaching cues include: 'Quick feet, quick hands' and 'Finish the play.' This drill translates to game performance by improving reaction time and allowing DEs to quickly close the gap on the quarterback. By incorporating the 'Rapid Fire' drill into their pre-season training, Panthers DEs will be well-prepared to take on the competition in the MIAA.
