Flag Football Scholarship Opportunities Expand for Texas Athletes

๐Ÿ“ St. Frances Academy PanthersยทSunday, July 26, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

As the MPSSAA flag football pilot program expands to new districts, Texas athletes are gaining access to verified scholarship pathways. The University of Nebraska, set to launch its inaugural NCAA Division I flag football season in 2028, is actively recruiting top talent. Coaches Liz and Katie Sowers are building a roster for the Big Ten powerhouse. Meanwhile, Ottawa University, Kansas, a national powerhouse with up to 12 NAIA scholarships, is also targeting Texas athletes. Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska, are actively recruiting flag football players. UT Arlington, a developing NCAA Division I program, is not yet offering scholarships. St. Frances Academy Panthers, a top MIAA program in Baltimore, is well-positioned to capitalize on these new opportunities. Texas athletes should focus on developing their skills and researching these verified scholarship programs.
