Quince Orchard Cougars' Speedster Drill: Boosting 4A S Players' Agility

๐Ÿ“ Quince Orchard CougarsยทThursday, July 30, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

To improve their agility and quickness, Quince Orchard Cougars' S players can benefit from a drill that targets rapid changes of direction. The 'Ladder Crossover' drill involves setting up a ladder on the field and having players perform the following sequence: 3 sets of 10 reps, with 30 seconds rest between sets. Starting in a 3-point stance, players step into the ladder with their left foot, then quickly crossover with their right foot, followed by a jump out of the ladder. As they jump out, they should focus on landing softly on the balls of their feet. Coaching cues include 'quick feet' and 'aggressive recovery.' This drill translates to game performance by improving S players' ability to quickly change direction and pursue ball carriers.
