Elijah Anderson Commits to Iowa State
Cheverus Stags running back Elijah Anderson has committed to Iowa State University for the Class of 2026. The 5-foot-10, 180-pound back chose the Cyclones over offers from Maine, New Hampshire and Boston College. Anderson's commitment is a significant addition to Iowa State's backfield, where he is expected to contribute immediately in the team's run-heavy scheme. The Cheverus standout will have the opportunity to compete for a starting role as a freshman, as the Cyclones' depth chart is currently thin at the position. Iowa State's strong academic program and commitment to student-athlete success were also major factors in Anderson's decision. The Cheverus Stags' top rusher in 2024, Anderson rushed for 1,200 yards and 15 touchdowns as a junior. He was named to the All-State team for the second consecutive season. Anderson will join a Cyclones program that has produced several notable running backs in recent years, including Breece Hall and Jirehl Brock.
