Rams' Kicker Bryce Young Seeks Redemption After ACL Injury

๐Ÿ“ Bangor RamsยทSaturday, July 11, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

Bangor Rams kicker Bryce Young is looking to bounce back from a torn ACL that forced him to miss the majority of his sophomore season. Last year, Young averaged 42 yards per punt, with a long of 55. He also converted 12 of 15 field goal attempts, including a game-winning 45-yarder against rival Orono. The Rams, a 2A school, will look to Young to provide a strong leg in the punting and kicking game. Young has spent the offseason working on his strength and flexibility, and has been participating in summer camps to fine-tune his technique. 'I've been putting in extra time in the weight room to build up my leg strength,' Young said. 'I'm feeling confident about my ability to make an impact this season.' Scouts are watching to see how Young adapts to the increased competition in the 2A North region, and whether he can maintain his accuracy and distance on kicks and punts.
