Hunter Jackson Commits to UTSA Roadrunners
Hunter Jackson, a 2026 linebacker from Cheverus High School in Portland, Maine, has committed to the University of Texas at San Antonio Roadrunners. Jackson, a 6-foot-2, 225-pound athlete, chose UTSA for its defensive scheme, which aligns with his playing style. The Roadrunners' 3-4 defense will allow Jackson to utilize his speed and agility to pursue ball carriers. With a projected depth chart spot at outside linebacker, Jackson will have the opportunity to contribute immediately. UTSA's strong academic program and NCAA Division I resources also played a significant role in his decision. Jackson had previously committed to another program, but decommitted to explore other options. He will join a UTSA team that finished the 2025 season with a 7-5 record and a bowl appearance. Jackson's commitment is a significant addition to the Roadrunners' 2027 recruiting class.
