Tyler Wilson Commits to Iowa State
Leavitt Hornets offensive lineman Tyler Wilson, a Class of 2025 standout, has committed to Iowa State University. Wilson, a 6-foot-5, 275-pound tackle, chose the Cyclones over offers from Maine, New Hampshire and UMass. The Leavitt senior cited Iowa State's pro-style offense as a key factor in his decision, stating that it aligns with his strengths as a blocker and pass protector. Additionally, Wilson was drawn to the Cyclones' strong academic program, which offers a 4-year graduation guarantee for student-athletes. Wilson initially committed to the University of Maine in June 2023 but decommitted in January 2024 to explore other options. He will now join a Cyclones' program that is looking to rebuild its O-line depth chart. Wilson's commitment to Iowa State is a significant pickup for the program.
