Crusaders' WR Clinic: Route Running Precision

๐Ÿ“ Detroit King CrusadersยทMonday, July 20, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

At Detroit King Crusaders' summer camp, receivers are honing their route-running skills with a precision drill that translates to game-day success. The 'Route Box Drill' involves setting up a 10x10 foot grid on the practice field, with cones marking the start and end points of each route. WRs line up at the start point and must run a precise route, using their feet and eyes to navigate the grid. Coaches provide real-time feedback on footwork, hand placement, and ball tracking. The drill is done in sets of 5 reps, with 30 seconds rest between sets. This drill helps receivers develop muscle memory for precise route running, allowing them to beat defenders in tight spaces and create separation on the field.
