Flag Football Scholarship Opportunities Expand for Texas Athletes
As the MHSAA flag football pilot program expands to new districts, Texas athletes are gaining access to verified scholarship pathways. The University of Nebraska, set to launch its inaugural 2028 season, is offering scholarships through the Liz and Katie Sowers-led program. Ottawa University, Kansas, a national powerhouse, is offering up to 12 scholarships. Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska, are actively recruiting athletes. While UT Arlington's NCAA D1 program is in development, it has not yet offered scholarships. Davison Cardinals, a Division 1 team, can capitalize on these opportunities. Athletes should research and reach out to these schools to explore potential scholarship options. With verified programs in place, Texas athletes can now focus on developing their skills and preparing for the next level.
