Eden Prairie Eagles flag football standout, sophomore quarterback Maya Johnson, has caught the attention of college coaches from the University of Nebraska and several NAIA institutions. Johnson's impressive performance at the recent Girls Flag Football Showcase has drawn interest from the Nebraska Cornhuskers' inaugural 2028 season program, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers. Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida, have also reached out to Johnson, offering her the opportunity to earn a scholarship. Midland University, Nebraska, is also actively recruiting Johnson. As Johnson begins her junior year, she is encouraged to focus on her academics and continue to develop her skills through summer camps and training sessions. With verified scholarship programs in place, Johnson is well-positioned to make a successful transition to the next level.
