Panthers' Tight End Tyler Jackson Commits to Houston Cougars

๐Ÿ“ Lakeville North PanthersยทTuesday, July 21, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

Tyler Jackson, a Class of 2027 tight end from Lakeville North High School, has committed to play football at the University of Houston. Jackson, a 6-foot-4, 230-pound prospect, chose the Cougars over other Power Five offers from Minnesota and Purdue. The Lakeville North Panthers' tight end is expected to fit into Houston's pro-style offense, which utilizes multiple tight end sets and will provide him with opportunities to develop his skills in a position of need. Jackson's commitment to Houston also aligns with his academic goals, as the university offers a top-ranked business program. He had previously committed to the University of Minnesota but reopened his recruitment in April. With his commitment to Houston, Jackson becomes the first Class of 2027 prospect from Minnesota to commit to the Cougars this cycle.
