TCU Lands Commitment from Elk River's Hunter Young
Elk River Class of 2025 cornerback Hunter Young has committed to play for TCU, the school announced. Young, a 6-foot-0, 180-pound prospect, chose the Horned Frogs over offers from Iowa, Minnesota and Northern Illinois. The athletic fit was a key factor in Young's decision, as TCU's defensive coordinator has a history of utilizing cornerbacks in man-to-man coverage, a scheme that plays to Young's strengths. Young also cited the depth chart opportunity at TCU, where he is expected to compete for a starting spot immediately. Additionally, the school's strong academic program was a draw for Young, who plans to pursue a degree in business. Young previously decommitted from Minnesota in April, but ultimately chose TCU for its better fit athletically and academically.
