Elevate Your Game: Eden Prairie Eagles' Linebacker Agility Drill

๐Ÿ“ Eden Prairie EaglesยทSunday, July 26, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

This summer, Eden Prairie Eagles' linebackers are putting in the work with a high-intensity agility drill designed to improve their reaction time and pursuit speed. The drill consists of three sets of 10 reps, with 20 seconds of rest between sets. Players start in a three-point stance, then quickly change direction to react to a 'ball carrier' (represented by a coach or teammate) moving laterally. As they pursue, they must stay low and maintain their speed, focusing on explosive acceleration. Coaching cues include 'Stay low, stay fast' and 'Change direction quickly, don't lose speed.' This drill translates to game performance by allowing linebackers to react quickly to ball carriers and pursue them with speed and agility.
